Wastewater treatment

Wastewater treatment is a process of improving the quality of wastewater by using treatment processes at the wastewater treatment plant ( the WWTP ). Wastewater is conveyed to the WWTP through the main sewers from the sewer system or brought on site from the small wastewater producers (sumps). Chemical, physical-chemical and biological methods are employed in the wastewater treatment.
The design of the wastewater treatment method is primarily based on the parameters concerning the wastewater quantity and quality.  When designing the WWTP it is expected that the wastewater volume may increase over the years (expanded municipalities, increased production, etc.), and therefore the wastewater volumes are determined by the future situation based on the wastewater production. The wastewater quality is most frequently expressed by the values of  BOD, COD and the volumes of suspended solids (SS).
The company AQUA PROCON offers designs of wastewater treatment plants, i.e. the preparation of the  design documentation, provision of necessary permits.
