Under the EU accession agreements, the Czech Republic has committed itself to fulfill conditions in many fields. One of the closely observed areas in the environment and water management infrastructure.
If the state and the owners of the infrastructure wish to meet the target date of 2010 and construct water management infrastructures in the agglomerations, they have a very intensive period ahead of them The Czech republic along with the European Union gradually draw up directives concerning the provision of funds for the preparation and implementation of measures improving the environment and the water management infrastructure.
Our company, AQUA PROCON s.r.o., participates in the preparation of these projects from the studies all the way to the final project evaluations. Important projects implemented in recent years include the following :
- The Dyje river basin protection project– stage II
- Improvement of the upper Moravia river quality - stage II
These are group projects ( structured into several sub-projects) addressing measures in the listed agglomerations of the South Moravia, Olomouc and Vysočina regions.The projects are extensive addressing quite complex issues of wastewater collection and treatment following the applicable laws and directives.
The Dyje river basin protection project– stage II
- Boskovice Hrádkov, Vratíkov, Benešov, Okrouhlá, Valchov, Velenov – WWTP and sewerage
- Vladislav – WWTP and sewerage
- Jemnice – sewerage
- Moravský Krumlov – WWTP and sewerage
- Nové Town of na Moravě – sewerage
- Maršovice, Pohledec – sewerage
- Nová Ves – sewerage
- Velké Meziříčí – WWTP and sewerage
- Mostiště – sewerage
- Oslavice – sewerage
- Telč – sewerage
The sub-projects include the construction and reconstruction of sewer systems, including wastewater delivery pipes, and branch pipes for house drains in a total length of approx. 73,600 m, construction and reconstruction of 32 pcs of wastewater pumping stations, upgrade of 3 wastewater treatment plants and construction of 1 new wastewater treatment plant. This also include the repair of roads in the places of crossing with sewers in a scope required by the applicable regulations.
The capital expenditure on the construction and technological work total approx. 1.135 billion CZK at this stage of preparation.
Improvement of the upper Moravia river quality - stage II
- Town of Hanušovice – extension of sewerage
- Town of Šumperk – reconstruction and extension of sewerage
- Town of Zábřeh – reconstruction and extension of sewerage
- Town of Mohelnice – upgrading the WWTP
- Town of Mohelnice – reconstruction and extension of sewerage
- Town of Loštice – reconstruction and extension of sewerage
The sub-projects include the construction and reconstruction of sewer systems, including wastewater delivery pipes, and branch pipes for house drains in a total length of approx. 70,6500 m, construction and reconstruction of 19 pcs of wastewater pumping stations and upgrade of 1 wastewater treatment plant. This also include the repair of roads in the places of crossing with sewers in a scope required by the applicable regulations
On 5.12.2008, the investors received the “letter of acceptance” from the State Environmental Fund , which means for the investors that : "The applications for assistance from the SEF CR have been accepted under the Operational Programme Environment". This letter completed a very important stage of the projects preparation. The investors have fulfilled the conditions set out in the 3rd call of the Operational Programme Infrastructure - "large-scale projects". Therefore, the preparation may be continued and the next stage will be to sign the support agreement with the SEF, selection of the contractor, implementation of the project, final approval and the final report. The investment preparation includes the modeling of the project funding, which is going to be a combination of the EU support, CR support, internal funds and a potential loan.
The capital expenditure on the construction and technological work totals approx. 1.313 billion CZK at this stage of preparation.
We hope that the projects will proceeds to further successful steps resulting in the observance of the financial plans and time schedules resulting in the Final Report demonstrating the final allocation of the assistance.
